Maternity Pictures

While at home for Graceland Homecoming a few weeks ago, I got the greatest gift from a sweet family friend of ours, Susan Shisler - who owns Twig & Daisy Photography...

THE GIFT OF MATERNITY PICTURES!!!

Although Brandon couldn't be in town with me for the pictures, it was so much fun spending the morning with my mom and sisters getting fun shots with Miss Addison Nicole in my belly.

THANK YOU SUSAN!!!

The pictures are BEAUTIFUL!  Below are a few of my favorites (31 Weeks along)!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one!!!

While at Homecoming, my family, TEAM HAMPTON, threw me a SURPRISE Baby Shower!  The theme of the shower was "Favorite Childhood Book".  Each of my cousins (I am the oldest of 12 grand kids) surprised me and Baby Addison with their favorite childhood book.  Inside the cover of the books, each of my cousins wrote a note to Addison.  It was such a sweet moment to share with my family!  Again, such a bummer that Brandon couldn't be there to share the moment with us!  The highlight of the shower was my cousin Josh singing the song "Sing Together" by Train.  I can't even read the lyrics now without crying.

THANK YOU JOSH!!!
THANK YOU TEAM HAMPTON!!!

My sister, Taylor, got to come home with me after Homecoming as she was doing a 2 week job shadowing position for speech pathology at my hospital.  We had SO MUCH FUN with her here and can't wait until she is able to visit again.  (*Another pregnancy symptom - crying every time you think fondly of your little sister visiting for 2 weeks!)

While Taylor was here, she took some maternity pictures that included Brandon and Wrigley!

THANK YOU TAYLOR!!!!

These are a few of my favorites!  (32 weeks 6 days along)

And just because he is my husband and because I LOVE him so much, Brandon wanted to make sure that I publicly posted that he shot a 78 in golf this past week.  Dad and Adam can confirm.

WAY TO GO, B!!!

Baby Shower 11/3/12

On November 3, a few friends from work hosted a baby shower for me!  It was so nice to get spend time with these ladies outside of work and I was especially happy that my mom and sisters were able to be here to attend!

Check out the sweet cake they got from Capital City Cakes!
The awesome food spread with crackers/cheese, veggies/dip, chips/dip, sausage balls, and quiche.  My favorite was the punch made from ginger ale and white grape juice - MMMmmm!
LeighAnn, Me (* Miss Addison Nicole), Peggy, Leigh, and Marla - all coworkers in the Emergency Department
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO LEIGHANN, MARLA, and DANIELLE!!!

And thank you to everyone who was able to attend or who attended in spirit.  I had a great time, am so thankful for all the wonderful gifts we received for Miss Addison Nicole, but most importantly, am thankful for the friendships I have developed at work and beyond while being here in Columbus!

Pregnancy Progression & Gender Announcement

Again - a bit late on the posting - but important news to share none the less!

On a previous blog post, I mentioned that we thought we knew the gender of our baby.

Here is the story:

From the time we were about 15 wks along until we were 20 wks along, we had been taking peaks at the baby in the Emergency Department where I work.  Over 5 ultrasounds by 2 different ED docs and an ultrasound tech, we were told the gender was one thing.  I even revealed that gender to my family.

Well, the surprise was on us because when we went to our OB doctor, she told us the gender was opposite what we thought it was!  She offered to repeat the scan at 24 wks in order to confirm and also let it sink in for us.

So at 24 wks along, Brandon and I found out:

WE ARE HAVING A BABY GIRL!!!

We are beyond thrilled about our baby girl and since that time, everything has been progressing normally.  She is an active little baby - kicking me all the time, hiccuping, and rolling around.  She likes to jump at loud noises and seems to laugh at her daddy's jokes already.  She is measuring right on track (we are 33 Weeks and 4 Days as of today) and seems to be a very healthy little girl.

I love feeling her kicks and seeing her move around my belly.  Brandon and I can't wait to meet her very soon!

Below is a progression of our pregnancy!
20 Weeks - Halfway Point!
22 Weeks - in Cayman for my sister's wedding

28 Weeks 5 Days
29 Weeks 4 Days - I must LOVE this outfit!

8/18/12: Miss Becomes Mrs!

This post is VERY late, but still so deserving of its own blog post!

MY SISTER GOT MARRIED!!!

On 8/18/12, at sunset, on a beautiful beach in Grand Cayman, my sister and her wonderful husband, Adam, said "I DO!"  It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by my Grandaddy.  It was Kasey's dream wedding and so awesome!

The day started by my sister, Taylor, and I waking Kasey early in the morning to surprise her with a Bachelorette outing!
We blindfolded Kasey so she had no idea where we were going.  This has become tradition for us - and was the same thing my sisters did for me on my wedding day!
Kasey had no idea she was getting a picture with Crosby, a local Cayman Islander, who we have known for years.
Upon removing her blindfold, Kasey saw that we were going for an early morning sailboat ride in North Bay!
Taylor, Kasey, Me, & Mom enjoyed a lovely breakfast of pastries and fruit on our boat ride.

Kasey got to hoist the sails!
Sisters!!!  What a relaxing way to spend the morning of Kasey's wedding day!

After returning from our sailboat ride, we started preparing for the big night!  We are lucky to have Taylor in our family because she does the best makeup and hair for us!

The Beautiful Bride and her awesome bouquet!
Unfortunately, I do not have pictures from the actual ceremony as these are in the hands of my sister in Iowa....but let me just say - it was AWESOME!  The weather was perfect, the sunset gorgeous, the ceremony special - and everything you could imagine!

So proud of my sister for following her heart and marrying the man of her dreams!  Adam is such a nice guy and we are lucky to have gained him as a brother!

CONGRATULATIONS KASEY & ADAM!!!!
